Hi...Looking for dive buddies so I can dive more often. Looking forward to this dive season. Dutch springs, Jersey shore or even short trips. In the South jersey-Philadelphia area

Shot in the dark....
LOST: Black Cressi light BCD Quick release integrated weight pocket with 8 pounds of weight inside
Where: Dutch Springs on May 17th around entry peninsula and platforms at 30’ to school bus.

If recovered, I would be forever grateful!!!

I also lost a gopro hero3 backscatter orange filter and holder in the same area....but most likely I’m not getting that back. :(

Anyone make their own soft weights for a reasonable cost?

I’ve sort of looked into this. You would need some good pouches, a device to measure the weight, and good lead shot to use. Not sure if the lead in scuba soft weights is coated in something to prevent lead dust...so you’d need to look into that.

Maybe post this as a forum topic to see if anyone has done this.

I have made weights from discarded tire balance weights. I was given this idea by a dive shop that made many weights this way. they are not coated but are in measured bricks at 2 lbs apiece.
