I am a novice diver, it is a hobby I picked up last year prior to my first trip to the Florida Keys, where i was able to dive for one day of my seven day trip due to storms. I was hooked after that one trip though. I live in northwest Alabama, and am a Lineman for TVA, I have been extremly busy over the last year or so with work so I dont get to dive like I want to. I have a friend that dives and when our schedules work out we try to get wet. That, however, seldom happens. I thought this would be a good place to hopefully meet some people and learns some new things from more experienced divers.

So I’m curious about everyone’s thoughts. How do you feel about Shark Week 2014? I haven’t gotten to watch alot of it but the few shows that I have, there seems to be a different feeling from the show in the past. The producers, or writers whatever seem to be portraying the sharks as vicious deadly animals that can’t wait to get their chance to chomp into some human meat. I think it’s sad, no wonder kids are terrified of going into the water and having nightmares about sharks coming up through the toilet...are you effing kidding me...But then again it may just be me. Love to hear anyone else’s thoughts.

Taking a trip to Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach area July 21st- 28th looking for a dive buddy, and knowledge of dive charter and dive sites in the area.
