Hi,

Well, my middle age crisis impacted me due to external factors so I decided to drop everything I was doing career-wise, sell the house, promote my status to that of a snowbird, and become a scuba diving instructor. Just finished my EFR and PADI rescue diver certification(24FEB11) and I’m already on the divemaster track, while also working on my Nitrox cert. My goal in life is to dive as much as possible before I croak!

Got my Divemaster cert., my twin 98s with full gear, a 60cc oxygen tank, and I want to dive down (regular air) to the PPO limit of 1.5 (just a tad less than the max 1.6) with 50% oxygen deco gas and see how deep and long I can stay down... Trimix is just too God-awful expensive! Have started doing gradual deep dives below 160 feet, (in Greece, where one can do anything he/she wants) and gradually extending my stay at 165’ Don’t know whether anyone has a similar bug but if ANYONE is actually pushing the envelope within the 1.6 PPO limits, and you want to share notes/methods/experiences of "do"s and "don’t"s please let me know!
