I have been diving for a few years now and I have fallen in love again with the ocean. Growing up in San Diego provided plenty of beach time with the family, but then life sent me inland.
Now that I am certified, and am a recent Divemaster, it is my goal to begin a new adventure: traveling the world as a DM for hire, on liveaboards, in shops, wherever I can share my love of the ocean with as many other divers as I can. I’ve gotten to experience the Caribbean (Cozumel, twice), and the South Pacific (Palau and Yap) where I hope to return soon as I left a bit of me there on my last visit.
There is no better feeling than drifting along a reef, either slow as molasses or at mach 50, and getting to observe the vast array of ocean life, knowing that you are part of this cool underwater world.
I have been on night dives (sooo cool, and sooo relaxing), done wreck dives, cave dives, and varying drift dives, even hooked into a reef to observe the sharks at eye level as they swam by (SO cool). I recently purchased a pretty nice but basic underwater camera... and that has been a blast!
I, as I am sure many of you, just want to dive. I was told recently that I was a mermaid... you bet!! Maybe I will see many of you fellow mermaids and mermen on my travels... hope so.
