Is that the"pool" entry by Sunset House? When I went there it got so rough they actually stopped allowing shore diving and they had to bus us to the southern part of the island where it was calmer.

It is! And they have shore diving closed right now because the water is rough. They closed it right as we got here, so we had to be bused, too.

When I was there, the water was so high due to an offshore storm that the waves (yes, actual waves) were breaking against the seawall next to My Bar...the pool was totally submerged during high tide.

I believe you! The waves were bigger than any I’ve ever seen in the Caribbean. They could compete with the east coast! Today it’s FINALLY letting up, and I believe they’ll open shore diving this afternoon

Good to hear, if you can get a group to do a night dive, head out through the "pool" enterance, follow the channel of sand out toward the reef. Along the way there is a rock with a piece of chain attached to it...an octopus like to hang out in that area, they’re awesome to check out at night. Let me know if you have any luck with that.

Also, if the West side is good tomorrow, see if they will take to you Cheeseburger Reef for your second dive, that was my favorite dive site there, lots of small caves and swim-throughs, big tarpon and lots of silversides.
