It’s sad really. I haven’t dived in years now. Just can’t seem to find a buddy that is in my novice area and hiring a dive master is to expensive. Also all my gear now needs servicing which is also pricey.

I had some hardships the last couple of years, but I never got rid of my diving gear. I live in hope that I’ll use it again.

Hoping I’ll be able to dive this summer. After first saving up to have all my gear serviced. It’s expensive. :(

And of course it’s been AGES since I’ve surfaced on here. Though have been reading articles etc.

And of course it’s been about 3yrs now since my last dive. (sounds like AA) Ug.....it’s very frustrating that diving can be harsh on your wallet, when your wallet is a tad empty.

I made a 80% on the following quiz:
Scuba Diving Hand Signals Quiz
Greg - 8/07/2014 5:19 AM
At least you remember most of your hand signals :)
Pixel - 8/07/2014 6:35 AM
I was crapping myself while taking quiz. I’m chuffed with 80% considering how long it’s been. Lol
Greg - 8/07/2014 9:06 AM
That’s the very first time I’ve EVER heard the word "chuffed". I had to Google it :) Thanks for the English lesson.
SCUBASMITTY - 8/08/2014 11:32 AM
next time ,,, wave ALL your fingers......LOL

Still in f-ing Bathurst, SA. Not sure I even remember how to swim, never mind dive! :’(
Pixel - 12/09/2013 3:10 AM
So I’m in small town (village) in Eastern Cape called Bathurst for now. For those of you wondering, it’s about 10 minute drive from Port Alfred. No idea when back in Cape Town. And there are no phone lines out here, so hardly any internet.

Greg, when will there be a Divebuddy cellphone app? ;) or Mobile version. Or is it there and I just missed it.
Greg - 12/09/2013 7:59 AM
Im working on a mobile version now. Its not done yet, but you can check it out at divebuddy.com/mobile

It’s been a long while since I was on the site, but could someone please point me in the direction of the survey’s/polls? Love those.
Greg - 4/05/2013 6:21 AM
They are under the forum section, see the survey category. Also, if you like surveys you should also check out the scuba quizzes I recently added (link at top of site).
Pixel - 4/20/2013 4:35 AM
thanks. already found and done quizzes :) very enjoyable & educational.
Pixel - 4/02/2013 5:30 AM
erm......could the recreactional dive table quiz please be revised to include meters? wouldn’t know a foot from a fart.
Pixel - 4/02/2013 4:31 AM
did some of the dive quizes. i’d dive with me. didn’t do badly for someone who hasn’t dived in 2yrs. :)
Pixel - 11/21/2012 12:06 AM
Just edited my profile of diver back to "novice" sigh
Greg - 11/21/2012 6:40 AM
The first step in recovery is admitting there is a problem (ie: not diving enough). The second step is to stop working, ingore responsibility and just go diving!
Pixel - 11/21/2012 6:44 AM
I wish Greg. That was the master plan this summer (which is starting now) however i’m now unable to as I’ve had to have minor surgeries on removal of stuff and more lie ahead. Gonna be a while again. A literal piece of me is in the US at the moment though. lol
Greg - 11/21/2012 7:10 AM
good luck with everything! i hope the doctors eventually prescribe lots of relaxing diving.
Pixel - 11/21/2012 7:14 AM
Thanks. We’re holding fingers, thumbs, toes. ;)
Greg - 2/27/2012 3:36 PM
So did enough people reply to the survey to answer your question?

http://www.divebuddy.com/forum/21391/how-scuba-regulators-serviced/

It was a great question.
Pixel - 2/28/2012 12:25 AM
:) Thank you. I’ll have a quick visual inspection done when I go dive again, and if need be rent a reg while they service. You’d be amazed at how pricey it is to service equipment here. It works out to roughly $45 (R350)
Pixel - 2/10/2012 6:58 AM
just seen the new site. Loving it!!!
Greg - 2/10/2012 8:08 AM

Hello my friend, How are things with you and your family, well I hope. Thanks for the well wishes, I am having my Rt knee replaces next month. I am really looking forward to getting it over and done with. It will be the first time since high school that I will be with out knee pain. Have you done much diving this year, I only did about 50 dives. May be next year will be be

better. Be safe and always dive safe.
