HAND and FINGER BLISTERING

Hi everyone, I just got back from diving in Andros, Bahamas. It wasn`t shortly after that I noticed, tiny red blisters occuring on the sides of my fingers and palms. They sting when touched and are very itchy. I got a sore throat shortly afterwards too. I remember touching some coral for a photo (my DM told me to) and also when I went into a blue hole to keep from hitting the sides (it was very snig in there). Have any of you experienced this before? WHAT IS IT? WHAT SHOULD remedy it? More keep occurring. All I could think of was maybe NEMATOCYSTS got into my skin? But seem to be making me cough and have flu like symptoms...not good right?!

try white vinagar for the itching. As for the the flu-like symptoms...could it be your bodies reaction to the toxin? You might call DAN and see what they say. I remeber getting hit with a bunch of particulate matyter from jelly fish, etc on a reef dive in fla. It gave me there red itch welts on my hands; needless to say I now wear gloves everywhere!

They are finally disappearing. I think from now on, even if I look dorky I will wear gloves. Sheesh, the coral are FIGHTING BACK!!!

I also wear a hood on most dives...I got hit by the little stinging things on a deco hang of NC. Gloves and a hood—what a fashion statement.
