So is the diving really that good on the other side of the planet? We live in Germany {for now} and have only had experience in Spain and Croatia. We leave Europe in July for good and I am nervous because I have been here so long. Are there any good places to Dive around Louisiana? I know that sounds really blond but I haven’t lived in America so long I don’t know these things.

Any insight & no flaming would be awesome.

There is not much diving in LA unless you know someone who has a boat large enough to go out to the oil rigs. Your best bet is Gulf Shores, Al and Orange beach.

As someone who had the pleasure of diving in the area’s you have mentioned and lived in Europe for almost 5 yrs. my deepest condolences on haveing to leave. As for the diving in Louisiana pretty much nil from shore, but there are several shops (depending on where you will be living) that arrange trips and there are a multitude of operators that you can drive to do a trip offshore and drive home and be back before about 10:pm been there done it. Welcome back and if can help anymore drop me a line. Tim(tuffmedic)
