Urgent Advice Needed Florida Dive Trip

I had such a great time diving Key Largo last month that I traveled all the way back down from Detroit to dive i it again. Boy, did I ever pick the wrong week! I am only in town for today and tomorrow, and all of the charters on Key Largo have cancelled their dives for today and tomorrow due to high wind and waves.

So I am turning to this forum for any advice that someone can give me to at least salvage something from this colossal waste of miles, time and money. I am willing to drive up to a couple of hours if anyone can make a suggestion. Thanks in advance.

Go to Blue heron bridge, Riviera beach. Dive it at high tide. Awesome dive.

Thanks. I’ll see if it’s doable for me.

You can try a couple back bay areas for shore dives. Check out with local dive shops around
Islamorada.

When ever we got blown out in the Keys we would go to Emerald Lagoon at the upper end of Key Largo, the water is green but it’s the same fish you would see offshore.

Thanks for the replies. I would have loved to try Islamorada oh, but I had already headed out to BHP this morning before I saw your message. And as far as the Lagoon, I believe that that is where I went yesterday for a little bit, if that is Jule’s. But I am at BHP now waiting for the tide. Thanks again to everyone.
