 New Orleans dive shop recommendations

I would like recommendations for a New Orleans dive shop. I’m intermediate diver (100 dives) that requires guided tours because I haven’t mastered navigation. I’ll be in New Orleans in early August 2019.

Harry’s Dive Shop is probably the more popular place. As far as actual dive sites are concerned, there really aren’t any around New Orleans. The water is muddy and you wouldn’t be able to see anything. Most either go to Pensacola or out to the oil platforms.

Thanks for replying. A diver suggested while I am in New Orleans to dive Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. I’m learning that it’s a bit farther out than the person thought. It seems to be a two-day live-aboard from Houston. Perhaps New Orleans, also?

I altered my travel plans and will be in the New Orleans vicinity in mid-September.
