Thinking about a quick trip to Catalina Island in late Summer 2017. I’d be interested in any information on shore dives and overall diving quality that anyone has.

This may be too late in the season for you, but I’m planning to be there October 5, diving with ScubaLuv. I’m signed up for a boat dive, and need 5 more people. Would that work for you?

Casino Point is decent shore diving. But bring a buddy. High surf and beat you up. I saw a Sunfish at the Italian gardens dive site (access by boat). All good diving.

Fonsworth banks (assuming good conditions) is a spectacular boat dive site. We did it with Truth aquatics on a live aboard. The decent felt like floating into an deep blue underwater mountain range. Saw a Mola Mola on our safety stop.
