Buddy requests in Forum

I just added a category to our forum called "Buddy Wanted". If you are looking for a buddy for an upcoming dive and you want to post something in the forum, please add it to this new category.

The best way to get responses from divers in the area you plan on diving, is to search for them by city, state OR zip code proximity...and send each of them a message about the dive. They are more likely to respond to a direct message than a forum post. But the Forum is good if you want to cover more members than your area of interest.

Don’t forget you can also use the Calendar to post info on a dive trip you’re planning. You can allow members to RSVP for the dive trip which allows you to easily keep in touch with those members by sending them all a message. You can take the link of the dive trip in the calendar section and post in your "Buddy Wanted" forum topic OR use the link when sending messages to possible buddies.

Thanks!

I have just started diving, and I love it, (I love any chance to be in water.)
Unfortunately for me, most divers have been around so long that they know all the dive spots by first names which I must look up on a map.

It isn’t really an inconvenience unless I am looking at the "buddy wanted" threads, hoping to fill a request. I didnt know what state (continent?) "troy springs" was on, until I looked it up. (Florida right?)
The similarly named "Dutch Springs" is not even in the same state :/
Lastly, some lakes share the same name; Last night I dove "hogan" in california, but typing "hogan" into google maps returns a small lake in florida.

For these reasons I dont know where tucker and scout will be diving, despite thier "buddy wanted" posts. Perhaps google just showed me the "troy springs" in florida, because I was previously looking at jacksonville?
Maybe it is really in utah.

Would you mind posting the state/province you will be in for the benefit of the easily confused like me?
