Searching for Bonaire Dive Buddy

I am heading down to Bonaire February 7th-14th. I now understand that the majority of diving there is shore diving although they do have boat diving. As I will be traveling by myself I am looking for a shore-diving buddy. I am an intermediate open water diver, with 26 dives under my belt. Please let me know if you would be interested in meeting me down there during that time interval.

Hi Sarah,

My daughter and I were just in Bonaire last month. If you are staying at a dive resort, most all have daily or twice daily boat dives and so you would not need a buddy to do that. They will hook you up. I would expect you could find a dive club on a boat and find individuals who will include you in their shore diving later in the day. You can also usually dive right off the resort and can pick up a buddy there. So don’t worry if you are going alone. Just be outgoing and you will find folks to dive with and more. Most of the shore dives are at the same places as the boat dives, but you can choose where you go if you are doing a shore dive. If you are doing a shore dive, you have a more difficult entry and exit. The rental vehicles are expensive. I was told I needed a truck but a jeep would have been less $ and just a good. Let me know if you would like any other advice.
