http://www.divebluegrotto.com/The Blue Grotto Dive Resort is a truly spectacular natural wonder in Williston, Florida. This great resort has just changed ownership and has a new management which is dramatically improving the Blue Grotto at this very moment. We are building a resort that will provide every need for the diver as well
as for our overnight guests and still stay in harmony with the beautiful surrounding nature of Williston

The Cavern

Dive the largest clear water cavern located in the heart of freshwater spring country in Williston, Florida. The Blue Grotto lets you dive down to a depth of 100 feet (30 meters) in crystal clear water all the way down at a watertemperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit (23 degrees Celsius) all year round

The Experience

Only Open Water Diving Certification is necessary as Blue Grotto is the safest cavern dive in the area, but it is a thrilling and fun experience for all levels of diving experience.

While only OW certification is necessary - an OW diver should not dive more than 60’ of this caverns 100’ regardless of how crystal clear or tempting it might be.

IF there are some OW divers looking to do Advanced training (PADI) I know of a class that will be taking place the weekend of December 14th & 15th at Devils Den that has some openings. It is the full class jammed into these two dates (appropriately) and is an all inclusive (covers books, gear, air, all dives and hotel for one night).

I will go up and do this dive with you ScubaCrab IF you can push it back to say 9am or so. The H20 might be 72 degrees but the air temp has been a bit nippy for me! I’d like the sun to warm things up a tad before I start climbing into my gear. If you can push back the time, let me know.

Hi Valerie
I would be glad for you to join us at 9am for a dive! I will probably still get there early and just hang out qnd wait for you its all about enjoying the day and not rushing. My buddy is q new OW and w3 will hqve to stqy within his limits on a dive.I am AOW Nitrox Wreck Penetration Certified and can dive the rest of the Grotto with you on another dive throughout the day since it appears you have the experience. Thankyou for your post for divers to get more experience and enjoy more advanced diving!

I think you are telling me that your buddy is quite new to OW, but not sure. Please know that I don’t mind staying within OW limits. Just jumping in the puddle is fun for me. I’ll be bringing along my camera as I have some things I have wanted to test out with my strobes. I might be bringing a couple of people with me, but not sure yet. I’ll see you at 9-ish regardless.
