Maybe for the dive part, I’ll never get my wife camping :(
We’ll be in Florida that week but until i know my kids schedule I’m not sure if we are starting in Homosassa and ending under BHB or the other way around.
Yesterday while waiting for slack high tide under a NJ bridge, air 50, water 50 my wife kept saying, we’ll be in Jupiter in a month, you don’t have to freeze your buns off! I went in, she was right about the freezing part.

I checked the tides for Blue Heron Bridge Sun 12/22/13 11:09am 2.9ft high tide could arive at 9 to10am dive at 10:39am to 11:39am during slack tide. Sat 12/21 the day before could take advantage of the $45.00 special Jupiter Dive Center for a am and or pm dives. Maybe a night dive if they have one?

Thanks for the links and info! The night dive sounds nice (-: On the 14th I cannot do it maybe another time?

Doug i might have to take you up on that again. where about is this spring compaired to blue gratto? also what is the depth? and any wildlife to see?
Blue Springs is West of Blue Grotto on the Suwannee River in Chiefland Florida. Troy and Peacock Orange Grove is North of Ginny Springs
not to bad. 5.5 hour drive. i could do a saturday night camp and sunday night camp and head back to ATL monday. that would allow us to dive saturday and sunday. thoughts?

Are you thinking of Manatee springs camping and diving on site? Or Troy and Peacock no camping but could camp at Lafayette Blue Springs or O’Leno State park short drive to dive sites!
Well looks like Jupiter dive center and Blue heron bridge is out camp sites all booked in that area. The camp sites at the springs or near by still have sites but are filling up! Manatee springs or close to Peacock and Troy still have campsites but choices getting fewer!
Guessing we have to book in advance? not like Ginnie Springs... Let me look those other ones up
Troy springs looks nice. havent been there though. The wreck seems to be cool and at least we can get some depth diving to 70ft. what do you think? do they allow camping there, do you know the cost?
Dosent look like they offer camping though. Manatee springs might be better.
Lafayette Blue Springs and O’leno state park have camping and are close to Troy and Peacock where Orange Grove is. Both nice dives! Manatee has diving at the park. No camping at Troy or Peacock. Cave diving only at Lafayette Blue Springs. No diving O’leno.

Ok the plan will be Oleno State park looks like a very nice place to camp! Close to some very good diving. I will start another post with more details

Have not had any comitments camping and diving. Maybe everyone is busy over the holidays? Could plan it after the New year? In the meantime I will be doing day trips with other divers that want to dive! Got any ideas let me know. Doug
