Through divebuddy.com, we became good friends with a couple in Panama City, Florida and went diving with them on their boat several times. Super people, great members of the dive community, turns out he was an instructor so he happily certified Missy. So, I guess divebuddy.com is greatly responsible for us making some great dive friends AND for my wife finally getting certified so her and I can enjoy diving together.

Before DiveBuddy.com I spent many days dissapointed that none of my three divebuddies were available to dive :-(

After DiveBuddy.com, I have over 350 local divebuddies (lucky I live So.Cal.), and can send out a blanket e-mail with one day notice and get 6-20 divers to show up any time. I can even book private charters with our numbers and have turn outs like in this picture 5-7 times a year. We have 40 divers heading out again December 7th. I LOVE DIVEBUDDY.COM!!!

I’ve only been on DiveBuddy for a short time, but I’m really impressed with how easy it is to find and get in touch with people. The ScubaEarth is a phenomenal tool for finding shops, sites, clubs, and of course BUDDIES! No more jumping around on multiple web sites to find people (Facebook, etc), dive sites (too many to name), shops, charters, etc. I spent god-knows-how-many hours compiling a list of Florida shore dive sites because shoredive.com is great but kinda spotty coverage-wise. I logged onto DiveBuddy and almost every one of the 40 or so sites I gathered up were at my fingertips through Scuba Earth. DiveBuddy is the best fully-integrated one stop shop on the web.

It’s so easy to use and the more we feed this monster, the more powerful a tool it will be. So thanks so much to the active members who nourish the site.

A huge benefit is that there are enough active people that I can get current conditions reports and sometimes on the very next day.

One of the very best things about DiveBuddy is Greg and his interest in creating an interested community. He’s like a great host at a party; you never know when he’ll drop in to chat about something and see how you’re doing and encourage the mingling that makes for a great partyand a great community site!

Most of all, the members here have been very welcoming to me as a freediver. Since even moderately serious freedivers can visit depths of 80 to 100ft, we’re diving a lot of the same sites (caves excepted, of course) and it makes perfect sense for us to have a place for common membership. Many serious freedivers are also SCUBA certified. I’m planning to get mine as soon as I reach my freediving ability goals and reach a comfortable plateau. I think DiveBuddy can be a gathering place for freedivers and SCUBA divers alike.

Dive on!

Thanks to Divebuddy.com, I was able to find a great scuba instructor nearby to certify my 2 kids. I’ve met and dove with 3 new friends who live relatively close to me through Divebuddy.com. Now I even have access to "boat loads" of people to dive with when I go on my next dive vacation. I guess you could say divebuddy.com has been a huge help for me in just the 5 short months since I signed up!

GREG: You realize, of course, that the banner text on the home page can no longer say "tens of thousands of divers". It should definitely say "HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS". Nice work, Man! Thanks for putting DB together.

"unique " eh..., that’s another word for crazy or weird like when the lifeguard blows the whistle and yells SHARK! The swimmers exit the water and the divers go in :) In a world where most want a Google map or directions on their iPhone we as divers are explorers and Dive Buddy and it’s Scuba Earth give us the tools to find new places we hadn’t considered before and a place to record our findings so those who follow can have some of the research already done and in turn can add to the database.

Thanks to DiveBuddy I found and use a LDS that I didn’t know existed before.

I have had the pleasure of shore diving with 2 divebuddy.com buddies. Both experiences were great and I am happy to dive with Darrel and/or Joe anytime. I really enjoy making new friends that enjoy the sport. I enjoy sharing our beautiful diving here in Hawaii.

I have used Divebuddy.com to check out dive locations. The reviews of other divers is a great asset when going to a new place. I have met some folks here, enjoyed the photos, and the comments of divers about all manner of things.

I joined DiveBuddy to join a women’s dive group. However I didn’t find a group but got to chatting with people from around the world. Then I searched for local people who dive and came across an Air Force pilot and asked him to be ’my buddy’. We met at a local pool for a Santa Claus photo op. Two years later ... We got married ... three months ago! What a blessing thank you God!! Thank you DiveBuddy.com!

Divebuddy not only introduced me to sites to dive before I go somewhere, but to a number of divers who helped make some awesome memories. I love this site and recommend it every time i get the chance.

To be very honest, after seeing all these beautiful comments, I must say, its a blessing to have this site, which is making so many people happy, just because they find happiness in diving. Great job Greg, all the best for now and coming days.

I have found old friends on here that I was glad to re connect to after we had lost touch!

Found great people to show me new locations to dive and got their incite on conditions, I have traded locations of mine as well.

All my questions have been answered on this awesome site or connected links. I have posted the DB link on my site so all can get Divebuddy.com hooked up!

Great Job Greg, You have provided a service that the diving community desperately needed.

Through divebuddy.com I meet a fellow diver with a non diving wife, like mine, that lives less than 2 miles from me. We are now best of friends. We vacation together internationally and locally and have logged more than 200 dives together in the last 28 months. I recommend divebuddy to fellow divers and to shop/charter operations that I use. THANKS GREG for a great diver social website (I don’t use facebook but always use divebuddy.com).
