Last week I just got my PADI Open Water certification, and I want to get up, get out, meet divers, and go diving! I am probably going to look at going on a guided tour/discover local diving class somewhere in Monterey Bay; we did all four of my certification dives at Breakwater, and I’m looking to branch out in the area! Seven Seas seems to have a huge array of tours, but I may investigate other facilities for pricing. From what I’ve read and my skill level, I’m interested in hitting the Metridium Fields, Hidden Beach, and McAbee Beach; if you have knowledge that suggests I should avoid these areas, feel free to also let me know. I can also happily apply for a Point Lobos reservation, but I’m pretty sure that’s booked out for a while.
I’m not sure how full discover local diving classes are in the area, but the more, the merrier! Anyway, let me know if you have questions, comments, or are interested in getting wet in the next couple weeks!
