I am a "retired" scuba diver. I served aboard the USS Vogelgesang DD-862, later given to the Mexican Navy and renamed the Quetzalcoatl E-10. She was scuttled on November 24, 2006 as an artificial reef. I assume it is a dive site. I can’t find out where she was sunk.
Anybody happen to know?

Looks like she’s not the only ship to be placed in the location...

Here’s a few photo’s I’ve found and the back ground is the same but the ships are different. That may help, otherwise you should be able to search the shoreline via Google Earth.

Okay another dive report has it at 90fsw and 40’ to the superstructure.

I created a dive site if you would like to add remarks or photos
