Interested in diving La Jolla Cove on July 17 and/or 18. I have heard about the seven gill sharks there and would be taking my compact UW camera...

I would be up for a one tank dive those days around 4 PM. I am a newer diver though and burn through air semi quickly. But if you are interested let me know.

7/17 at 4 pm is definitely a possibility! As a new diver, how comfortable are you with marine life? I am really hoping to bump into one of these guys:

With low viz in the kelp forest, bumping into one of these may be a bit nerve racking, and we would need to make sure we do avoid prey behavior (swimming away fast or swimming fast to the surface).



Seeing these sharks may be unlikely, but there is a possibility and I want to make sure ran this by you.

I would be fairly comfortable with the sevengil. I have had had experience swimming with leopard sharks but they are slightly different. But with that being said I wouldn’t mind seeing the sharks as well, I think if we dd encounter them I would be more in aw then wanting to flee. Let me know what shapes up when the date gets closer.
