[Choose #3] I prefer open heel for cold water (w/booties) and full foot for warmer water dives.

[Choose #2] Foot protection is important before and after diving. So booties are cool.

[Choose #3] Here in CA you have to wear booties, so open heel are a must. In tropics I usually use full foot fins except for places like Bonaire where foot protection is needed to get to and exit from the water.

[Choose #2] You know I put the open heel fins, howeer I find them a pain to get off when getting back in the dive boat so I was thinking of buying full foot fins..then again maybe not lol.

[Choose #3] I prefer full foot for boat diving or liveaboard diving and open heel for when I have to wear booties to get to/from the dive site.

[Choose #2] Full Foot fins don’t fit well in more occasion than they do.

[Choose #1] Full foot fins are in general lighter in weight which counts when you travel. I use them with boots.

fishnutz - 6/12/2012 9:31 AM
[Choose #2] I dive with boots...so I need the open heel style fins.

[Choose #3] It completely depends on the type of diving. If all you do is boat dive then you can get away with full foot. However, even then it sure is nice to have that foot protection while you stumble around on deck.

Brendin - 6/03/2012 10:34 AM
[Choose #2] Open

Laura - 6/02/2012 10:20 PM
[Choose #3] full foot are convenient for boat dives but you really need hard sole booties to hike over rocks for many shore dives

carlosrapa - 6/02/2012 1:05 PM
[Choose #2] With spring straps they are even easier than full foot, on boat dives taking off my fins doesn not mean my feet are unprotected, needed for Dry Suit

ScubaSteve63 - 6/02/2012 10:28 AM
[Choose #3] Open heel for when i’m wearing boots and closed for bare feet.

JoePagano - 6/02/2012 9:53 AM
[Choose #2] The most comfortable, and adjustable for different size boots. Only way to go.

Danielkent - 6/02/2012 8:47 AM
[Choose #2] If I had a pair of full foot fins, I’d use them in warm waters for sure.

Gidds - 6/02/2012 8:02 AM
[Choose #3] If it’s warm or cold water. Rock boots don’t make much sense in the Gulf.

k-lambertus - 6/02/2012 6:31 AM
[Choose #2] More versatility with open heel. I can use a light boot when I go to Cayman or some where tropic and I can come home and use the same fins with my dry suit too.

Agojo - 6/02/2012 4:04 AM
[Choose #3] Full foot unless I need the warmth or entry protection if a shore dive.

Scubadad2 - 6/01/2012 8:59 PM
[Choose #2] I dive too much cold water and have to wear booties.. thus open heels.

SaintsReturn - 6/01/2012 7:40 PM
[Choose #3] I have always worn open heel but am currently looking for bootless for when i wear shorts vs wetsuit

[Choose #3] Boat diving warm water full if there rocks then you need boots

wanderwoman222 - 6/01/2012 5:20 PM
[Choose #2] open heel with good, sturdy boots. Great for shore entry.

peter2204 - 6/01/2012 5:12 PM
[Choose #2] The only things that fit on a dry suit are open heels
#20439
LatitudeAdjustment - 6/01/2012 4:23 PM
[Choose #2] Open heel can be worn with 7mil boots or a 3 mil slipper, full foot is lighter for travel unless you are going someplace like Bonaire where you need to walk on a broken coral beach :(

[Choose #1] Full foot! So much easier. No boots to worry about. They are less bulky.
