For the few of us near the west coast of Michigan, this may be of interest: "Rochelle M. Pennington, author of "The Historic Christmas Tree Ship", is coming to Grand Haven to speak about her research on the shipwreck of the Rouse Simmons, the famous Christmas Tree Ship lost off Two Rivers, Wisconsin in 1912. Her presentation is Sunday, December 16th at the Grand Haven HS PAC at 7:00 pm. Ms. Pennington will speak to us using a PowerPoint presentation format, as well as, artifacts from the sunken vessel. You will all be amazed at how much of our own Grand Haven/Muskegon area history is involved in this fabulous story. The cost is free!
