I have been diving Hawaii and the Puget Sound for 20+ years. I am looking for an experienced dive buddy for my annual trip. I know of several interesting dive sites on the island that I feel more comfortable diving with a buddy then alone. If you have an interest my cell number is 253-370-3130 - Peter

What are the dates you will be there? Your title is sort of confusing. I will be there July 14-20 this year.

Just a novice but could make it to Maui for one or two of your dives if you are still looking.

I live in Los Angeles... but flying to Hawaii is really easy for me. I fly standby so I really won’t know FOR SURE when I’ll arrive until the day I leave. All I need to do is arrive, rent the equipment, and hit the water.

You looking at shore dives or going on a dive boat? I’m up for either one or both! I’m thinking of flying to Oahu next weekend for a wreck/reef dive they have there at a great price - 2 dives for $85 and $25 full gear rental. Hoping to find someone else in Oahu who may want to go.

If you dont dive anywhere else, make sure you check out Honolua Bay (depending on conditions) exposed to north swell but otherwise very easy and amazing amount of life there unlike almost any other dive on or around Maui. There is a short hike/walk from where to park car to entry makuleia and then you can dive all the way around the point into Honolua. Here is a good resource for best Maui shore dives.

loink did not work - but thanks - have done that many times - have you ever dove near the blow-hole - jump off the cliff and wait for the wave to bring you back up to the wall - down the white ladders?

I was there last July and was trying to find a guide to take me there. It was pretty rough over there though. The review on this site said it was the best wall dive outside of the back side of molokini. Try this link again and navigate to the snorkel & dive guide.
