[Choose #1] I am so very happy to see that the majority leave air in their tanks. It means we are still all about saftey and that’s important. If my partner is low and I have plenty air I still end the dive because my partners safety is important to me!

[Choose #2] I shoot for 250

[Choose #5] 1,000 psi, 500 psi in each tank. Sidemount diver, always blowing bubbles. LOL

[Choose #5] PSI does not determine how much gas you have at the end of your dive.

[Choose #1] I am not the buddy that runs low. But I like getting my buddy back with

[Choose #2] Varies but average about 300.

k-lambertus - 1/08/2012 8:48 PM
[Choose #5] Depends on my dive buddy, if I am with Mike I will come up with 1100 plus in my tank cause he uses his 80 cu alum up pretty quick. If I am with Rich or Dustan I will get to use my tank completely and comeup with 200-400

Scubakitty - 1/08/2012 6:10 PM
[Choose #5] I start up at 800 psi so when I climb on the boat after the safety & drifting, I have at least 300 to 500 left in the tank

[Choose #1] My dive buddy always get’s cold before I run out.

[Choose #3] If you have gas left, use it ... no such thing as doing safety stops for too long.

[Choose #5] These choices don’t make sense because they are in PSI, which is a unit of pressure, not a unit of volume. 200psi in my double LP108s is more cu ft than 500 psi in your single HP80, for example. I return w/ 10 cu ft on OW or 1/3 of gas for overhead

[Choose #1] I generaly turn my dive at 1000PSI and start heading for the line or if drifting start moving up in depth. Normally this puts me on the surface from most depth in the 500PSI range.

[Choose #1] I also carry a 13 CF pony - I try never to need to use it.

[Choose #5] just depnds on where I’m at & who I’m diving with. Air is almost never an issue, usually it’s a time issue. (or dead battery in my camera)

[Choose #1] Depends on conditions and depth / time.

[Choose #5] 250-750

TankChucker - 12/29/2011 10:48 AM
[Choose #5] Situationally dependant. With students or less experienced divers, I have 400+psi in order to set an example and be able to respond to any unwanted events. However, on a pure pleasure dive, especially shallow, I’ll near drain it.

[Choose #2] On some beach dives I’ll use the tank for two dives.

Tiara_270 - 12/29/2011 4:35 AM
[Choose #2] Since most my dives are less than 70 ft, it all depends on how many fish are at the bottom :)

Agojo - 12/29/2011 12:32 AM
[Choose #5] Depends on depth of dive, 60+ plan for 500psi, if last 10 minutes of dive less than 25’ then plan for 300-400.

Nhensley17 - 12/28/2011 10:34 PM
[Choose #1] 500 PSI before REDLINE always safe give you time to get back in boat or just enough time to get out of water. It’s a safety!

Granitehawk - 12/28/2011 10:14 PM
[Choose #2] Try to have 400 to 500 at surface when done, have had too use for a diver assistance

[Choose #5] Try to never put air in any of my tanks OC or CC.... But approx 200-400psi of whatever the GAS might be. :-) Happy New Year 2 all.

[Choose #1] I aim for 500 even with a pony. If I go a little lower I’m still safe, usually there is a deco bottle hanging any way.

DesertDolphin - 12/28/2011 6:46 PM
[Choose #2] I am usually diving with customers and I try and have everyone back with 500# I personally try and end dive with 300# in my tank.

rashley - 12/28/2011 1:16 PM
[Choose #5] It depends on situation. If I am in an easy environment I might extend my 15 ft stop and burn up extra air surfacing with as little as 150 psi, hoever if in harsh environment or open ocean I want to finish safety stop with around 4 or 500 psi.
#456
seahorse - 12/28/2011 12:56 PM
[Choose #1] Usually more than 500, unless it’s a very shallow dive in which I’d fell comfortable getting below that.
#1117
Precious_Cargo_Diving - 12/28/2011 12:26 PM
[Choose #1] Normally at least 500psi depending upon the depth and length of dive
#514
Melpie - 12/28/2011 11:20 AM
[Choose #2] it depends on the dive, I try to the rule of 500 psi sometimes it may not be feasible to get out
#25869
RAWalker - 12/28/2011 10:47 AM
[Choose #1] That depends on the size and rated pressure of the tank but you always need to leave some otherwise the first stage of your reg may shut down before you end your dive.

[Choose #1] This time of year I tend to get cold before air gets to be an issue. :)

WarmWaterTurner - 12/28/2011 9:38 AM
[Choose #2] Less than 20’ I will go dry. In places like COZ - I start ascent procedures @ 500 (minimum) depth depending.

[Choose #1] Sorry, I’m in Bar... but after a 50 minute dive at 20m (65ft) i have about half a 12L tank left

diverray - 12/28/2011 9:12 AM
[Choose #2] I like to have about 500 psi when I reach my safety stop.

Greg - 12/28/2011 9:01 AM
[Choose #2] If I’m in a pool or shallow lake/river, I’ll suck the air down pretty low, but I always leave at least 200 psi in the tank.
