Been a great year for Diving at the Smith home and I’m getting ready to start the Dive Master process and thought I would throw open the advice doors and see what wisdom was cast through them. So welcome to all "do’s","don’ts", "try this", "make sure you’s" and "watch out for’s".

When you take your pool tests, and you have to swim to one end of the pool, swap all gear with another DM student, all while buddy breathing...if the other DM student is a significantly different size than you, I recommend you start off with their gear on, then switch back to your own gear :) And take it slow...only a couple actions in between buddy breathing. Don’t try to rush it.

relax especially in the testing phase.
above all else ask questions on anything you don’t understand or are not 100% comfortable with. Gregg said it well don’t rush there is more than enough time...

Worked with an open water class over the weekend, loads of fun, and really enjoyed being able to help out.
