Although the FDA wont approve anything at this time, some people and doctors believe diving is good for the body in working out back issues, some breathing troubles, and other body tension issues. Would you dive with injuries and would you dive in hopes to alleviate pain. ex. lower back pain.

[Choose #2] I have a broken back. Hate to lodge any bubbles anywhere. But we’ll worry about that later. Let’s go diving!

[Choose #1] Diving has fixed me up many times. Weightlessness and hyperbaric pressure is great for the back and the sinuses. Also, at depth you are receiving Oxygen therapy, even on air (high PPO2).

[Choose #2] When I dove Tobermory, I hurt my back the first day. The only time I wasn’t in pain was when I was in the water. Luckily, I had sympathetic dive buddies to help me with my equipment and into and out of the water.

[Choose #1] My experience is with my body I feel much better after diving. I also breath high percent mixes when able. My back and knees always feel better for days. Who needs the FDA, it works for me.

[Choose #1] Of course, it depends on the injury- no diving with lung injury, etc.

[Choose #5] Honestly I don’t know, it would really depend on how bad the injury is (I never had serious back/breathing/tension issues since getting certified). Ya know, survey answers are cool and all but I’d be interested in what DAN has to say on this subject.

[Choose #1] my doc doesn’t like me diving because of my back issues, but if you’re careful and have friends who help then it’s ok.
