I am a new diver looking to buy my first set of dive gear and I came across the special Oceanic has. I have used Oceanic products during my cert class and dives and it seemed to be pretty good stuff. However, I have never had any experience with the products offered in the special except for the octo. They are the Neo reg, Alpha 8 octo, Cruz BCD and the Veo 1.0. Has anyone ever had experience with any of these? For my open water dives I used an Oceanic OceanPro BC and Zeta reg if there are any similarities.

My recommendation is to talk to your local shop and make sure that they can service it. I had a Oceanic Delta for 15 plus years I bought used when times were tight with never a complaint about it. My only issue is they quit making parts for it, so.... I’m in the market for a new one. I’m under the impression that Sherwood hasn’t ever discontinued supporting a regulator from my dive shop, but.... never say never.

Also watch where you buy it from, some places aren’t licensed dealers so you might have warranty issues. Amazinly Oceanic has info on their site about it, so it must be as much as issue as my local shop says....
