Thats a wonderful idea Greg!

good idea, when traveling you can see who is where.
what about INTERNATIONAL divers? will it be by country or region?
ie all bahamas, or every island?
|
|

Awesome Idea Gives you the chance to only look for info in the stae you wanna Dive .. I second the Motion lol

Love the idea. For your California page you might want to create separate Northern & Southern pages, as they rarely mix. For us in the South, Northern Cali is a travel destination just as much as Florida!

This is awesome. I was thinking that this might be a good idea some time back, but just didn’t get around to requesting it.

Dude! You’re the man! I mean really though, this is a great addition to DiveBuddy and I think members will use it often. When we are looking for a local dive spot for a quick weekend trip and you need a buddy (since I don’t dive) this is perfect! For real, you’re amazing!

Updated it more (added forum topics).
You can also search using "relationship status" and "looking for" on the search page now. All you single divers, have fun with that one! BTW, if you’re profile is set to NOT show your "relationship status" or "looking for"...your profile will NOT show up in the search results.

I’m going to be fuddy duddy on this one Greg. I hoped to keep the site for the interest of diving and not for match making. If you make it easy for the singles to use it for matchmaking it may turn into another Myspace. Keep it for the divers. folks can use the other sites to hookup because there is a site for single divers already.

a site for single DIVERS? please feel free to give it up! you can tell us..
|
|

Acouple of other ideas....
1) when you click on the page have the "life" members show up first, supporters, then members.
2) have the "mods" in that state show up before the life members.
that way, the new people have a better chance of getting info from people who are more active/knowledgeable about the local area.

I know the owner of Single Divers...she actually would rather the "hook ups" be to tanks and not to people. I agree :) Her site is more for divers that want to vacation with new dive buddies to avoid the single rate you are charged. Because it’s cheaper to dive as a couple.
But don’t worry, neither one of our sites will become one of those cheesy dating sites...it’s all about scuba diving for me.

Speaking of Local Pages... I can’t seem to figure out how to post ONLY in the local forum. Like for example, my latest post in the category "events". That post was meant for Georgia. Help?
