I got a good deal with Allegro. It’s ~$625 for a week in April. I figure I can work out the diving with Dive Palancar when I get there.

When we go as a family, we stay at The Wyndham (The Reef Club). It is all inclusive and Sand Dollar (on site dive shop) is excellent. It runs roughly $900 for seven nights, all meals and drinks, and 10 dives. It is south of town and requires a cab to town.
For our guys only dive, we stay at the Barracuda Hotel. It is just a basic, plain hotel room. For about $600, you get seven nights and 15 dives. It is two to three blocks from the main square and we get breakfast/ lunch at the Megaplex across the street.
A friend stayed at Fieasta Americana and really liked it. I do not have a price, but it is further south than the Barracuda and would probably require a cab to town.
I also think it is worth taking a day and driving all the way around the island. There is only one road that goes all the way around, you cannot get lost. They also do not drive on the island in the same manner as the mainland.

I second the Wyndham. The food is ’eh’ pretty good, but it gets the job done. The service is great as well. A lot of people have complained about the smells, but hey, it’s Mexico. If I was staying in a room that had some funky odors I’d just ask to move to another room. If I’ve ever had a problem, they did their damdest to make me happy. The dive outfitters there are top notch, with great prices.

I just booked my first trip to Cozumel and have never been before. Okay here are the results: Booked the Wyndham (Sabor Section) for 8 nites (Sat to Sun in Apr) - AI (solo) Couldn’t find a dive buddy. Includes airfare from Nashville. Cost with airport transfers to hotel is $1032. Booked on Orbitz. Use 200entertain as a discount code and save $200. Booked Dive with Martin - 6 two morning tank dives and 1 nite dive with equipment $ 368. Pick up at the hotel pier but the local dive shop will charge $3 per day usage free. Hope this helps.

When are you gonna be there? A group of us will arrive 3-14 and leave 3-17. No, we did not choose to go for the sabor upcharge.

 Hi

I just returned from Coz on Saturday the diving was fantastic the eagle rays are back and the weather was great. We stayed at Park Royal and I always dive with Martin they are the best in my opinion they have the fastet boats and your first on the dive sites small groups no cattle boats and you dive your computer. As far as deals you just have to keep checking on Expedia and orbits. Hope this is of some help for you. you’ll love Coz I go every year

I’m currently researching a trip to Cozumel for April and found an all inclusive, including dives, at Hotel Cozumel for under $900 a person double occupancy. I can get flights from Albuquerque for around $400 so it looks like that is my next trip. This special needs to be booked by Mar 15.

Wow, that’s a great price! I think I spent about $1,700 the last time n the all inclusive package. Does that include the diving?

Hotel Cozumel has a nice set up. Dive Paradise is set up at the pier where boats will come pick you up. They also have dive lockers, a tank for rinsing your gear, a restaurant, the pool and a bar in the back where the pier is. We would do the morning dive, come in and rinse our gear, have lunch, take a little nap right at the beach and hop back on the boat for the afternoon dive. The night dive is cool too and Dive Paradise rocks!

I’m so jealous! You’ll have a blast!!!

I’ll be there 4/12 - 4/16. When is anyone else going to be down there? If we overlap we can get some good diving in together.

The Hotel Cozumel trip includes 14 dives. Should be a blast. Looks like we will be there April 9-16 if all goes as planned.
