Hi All,

I Hope everyone had a great Holiday !
I was wondering if anyone can give me any idea about Belize diving and where to stay and doesn’t charge much for singles . I would also like a place where unlimited shore diving is included ! or would a liveaboard be better ?
Belize is near Roatan , is the diving the same ?

I’m in Mexico , I’ts not Belize but the diving here is great, , no problem or extra fee’s for singles, my airport code is ZLO, it’s 160 mi south of Puerto Vallarta, a very safe area. Dive shop is owned by a single female, there are apartments that divers like right behind the dive shop, shop is on a bus route, we have beach diving as well as boat and we have a ship wreck only 23 feet deep water today is 80 deg

The best way to see Belize would be on a liveaboard that can move to different sites depending on the weather but with Nekton no longer sailing there and I wouldn’t use PH on a bet your only choice is Aggressor. They will take singles but you don’t get to choose your roommate however you may get lucky if they have an odd number of divers and have the cabin to yourself.

I went to Ambergris Caye (northern island, close to Mexico). Very beautiful place and the locals were so incredibly nice. There was no shore diving, because the locals use the water as a large part of their transportation the area between the reef and shore is busy with boats. Anyways, the reef is about 100 yards off shore. So getting to your dive site takes minutes. The nice part was getting on the boat, getting ready to dive right away, you get to your dive site quickly, you get right in the water and when you are done, you go back into shore for your surface interval. It lets you go back to your hotel room, get a drink or snack, go to the bathroom in your own room, change camera batteries, and even lounge by the pool. If you are interested, i stayed at the SunBreeze Hotel and did all my diving with Aqua Dives, which was right there on site. I have heard great things about Placencia (southern town, on the main land). The rides out to the dive sites are a little longer to get to, but there are seasons where you can dive with whale sharks.
