 Poverty Island Sunken Treasure Mystery

The Poverty Island sunken treasure is still a Mystery to be solved. Richard Bennett best known authority on the legend has finally connected the Confederacy with the Poverty Island Treasure after 40 years of research and exploration. Bennett has made a formal announcement to the diving community at the 2009 Ghost Ship Festival in Milwaukee. The Festival is one of the largest gatherings of sport divers and professionals in the in the Midwest.
Bennett challenged the audience to refute his connection; to date there has been no viable argument against his findings. His book “The Poverty Island Sunken Treasure Brief” is a loose leaf manuscript that relates details of his findings. Much of the details in the manuscript were never revealed to the press until the Ghost Ships Festival disclosure.
When the release of the new updated NBC Unsolved Mysteries program about The Poverty Island Treasure was re-recorded in 2009, Richard Bennett gave a number of new facts to the legend.
