I might be going to Key Largo 1/8-1/12 and am looking for some recommendations on hotels and dive shops to hook up with for a long weekend of diving. All replies are welcome.

I have nothing but excellent things to say about Jim and Julie from Diver’s Den in Kendall Miami. Their website is http://www.diversdenmiami.com My girlfriend did her open water with Jim and I tagged along to photograph/video it. The current took my camera and it rode the gulf stream. Jim dove back in to help me search ("skip diving" for my camera). After we both exhausted our back gas we climb back aboard. Jim offered to lend me his personal camera for the next day of dives and our trip to Belize which was a few days after. Jim and Julie are husband and wife and the shop’s atmosphere resembles that of a family business. I am looking forward to returning to the Miami area and when I do, I will absolutely head over to Diver’s Den.

Another vote for Captain Gary @ Conch Republic Divers but if it must be Key Largo then Ocean Divers.

I would recommend you, or your wife, call her best friend...since she has been diving there quite a bit!
