 Mayagues, Puerto Rico?

Hi! I am thinking about going diving on a liveaboard out of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, starting Dec 19-26. I am also thinking of staying a few days afterward in Mayaguez. I did not get any suggestions from the Nektron cruises and they recommended that I go back to San Juan, which does not sound like fun.


Any suggestions on where to stay in Mayaguez?
