Dear Friends of Diveheart

Reaching for our dreams is something we all aspire to do in our quest some reach further than others…. But how many reach their dreams with no arms.

Today’s story in the Daily Herald about Diveheart’s newest diver, Jessica Cox, is a reminder that we are all blessed in our own way and we flourish and enrich our spirit when we focus our gifts and abilities, and on what we CAN do instead of what we CAN’T do

Imagine the positive energy that we could share with others if everyday we chose the CAN DO path…. I hope this story touches you in a special way…. Please share it with others.

Thanks for your supportive comments! There are many, equally amazing stories in the world of adaptive diving.

I would encourage all divers to consider becoming certified as a Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) dive buddy or instructor. It’s a great way to build your overall scuba skills while working with some really incredible people. Diveheart and other organizations sponsor such training.

For those in the Illinois area, visit www.diveheart.org and look at the calendar for our monthly classes. Diveheart occasionally sponsors training in other areas as well. Under "Resources" you will also find links to many other organizations promoting adaptive diving.

Thanks again for your interest!
