I’d recommend getting your advanced certification around here to get it out of the way so when you do travel to Florida or somewhere nice you can just enjoy the dives and not worry about completing skills etc. for your cert. I am planning a trip to Morehead City, NC for Aug. 21st-24th diving w/ Olympus Dive Center. I plan to drive down on Friday the 21st, hoping to do their afternoon one tank charter($60) that leaves out at 4pm (right now they do not have enough divers to go out but they are pretty sure they will by then), a two tank dive charter($125) on Saturday, a three tank dive charter($175) on Sunday and drive home on Monday the 24th. I will be staying at their dive lodge which is $25/night. It would be nice to travel with someone since it is such a long drive about 7 1/2 hours. There are some prerequisites that you would need to meet before you could dive in the North Carolina trip first being advanced certified and the second being a dive below 100 feet. A closer dive I have planned is Ocean City, MD on August 30th, again it would require advanced certification. Next Friday July 24th I will be in Virginia Beach diving w/ Lynnhaven dive center. Just got back from St. Lawrence River late Sunday night. I highly recommend diving there. The wrecks are amazing.
