Charleston scuba may have the answer. I myself absolutly love diving the wrecks of the north and south Carolina caost. It is the graveyard of the Atlantic. The wrecks are home to many creachers, bugs, sharks, eels, I have even seen lion fish. Find out where the local dive shops are going at the time your down and have a great dive! Remember, dive safe and within your limits!!!! Wish I could be with!

How about the Cooper River? Here is a link to the dive site on DiveBuddy: Cooper River

Have a great time!

I 2nd Damieon. There are just a ton of places all up and down the North and South Carolina coast. The Sand Tiger Sharks are just great to see when you visit the wrecks along the coast (they are due out anytime now - as it starts to warm a little more).

Also, like Greg said, the Cooper is great for hunting the Megalodon Teeth and maybe an arrowhead or two. Vis is around 0 but your looking for the artifacts so its all good, just don’t put your hand in a gators mouth, those teeth, not so good.

I just got back from the Ledge (its a journey of a trip off Wilmington and you can find some really good size Megalodon teeth). However, this trip was not that good for me, or anyone really. The spot was pretty dry. Several of the shops are moving around that area looking for the "sweet spot" and this was not it. However, last summer I pulled some beauties up.

Good Luck, I am sure you will be amazed at what NC/SC have to offer.

Charleston scuba on Hwy 17 near the Hwy 61 interchange. Plus if you have time for the trip north express watersports in Myrtle Beach has alot of dive spots also... The cooper river Dive is cool. I wanna go. but i have to get some more dives under the belt first.

I’ve done the cooper twice. EVERYONE on board found teeth/artifacts. Checkout www.divethecooper.com. Talk to Mark and tell him the Jerry w/ East Atlanta Divers sent ya. You should be AT LEAST aow and have black water and current experience. But WELL worth it. Our last trip, 3 teeth in the 5"+ range were found. I found the bowl of a pipe that was dated between 400 and 500 years ago.

I’m jumping on the Cooper River bandwagon also.. We dove it last year and brought back quite a haul with only three dives. I have pics loaded of my take home. It was an awesome day and we will being going back for sure!! We used Capt Phil at www.backwaterdiversions.com He has a little 6 pack and takes you to some nice sites.
Hope you enjoy your trip, wherever you decide to dive.
