Yes it’s advanced and some boats require you to have 100+ ocean dives before the trip because you are going to be making blue water assents surrounded by hammerheads and hopefully whalesharks and newbies tend to watch the action and not their gauges.
Don’t do this trip early in your diving career because on the way home you are going to wonder how you can top that! :)
