California diving is beautiful, love the color but where is that 60-70 degree water?! I did my first Channel Island trip in a 7 mil and found 49 degree water, the following year I added a 3 mil hooded vest to the suite, I was warmer but so was the water on the bottom, 54!

Myth: Don’t go swimming within one hour of eating. I believe this old wives tale was to keep the kids out of the water for a rest, both kids and mom because divers are always eating during the SI. In California something hot to warm the body :)
