Thanks for all the response to the scuba movie question. I have complied a list that I’m sure is not complete. It does not include TV shows like Sea Hunt as I was after movies only. Sorry but did not include animated features. Many of the films may only have a brief scuba appearance while others feature it. I have not seen all these movies so I cannot vouch for their accuracy. PLEASE, if you think of others, let me know!

So here is the list as it stands.

I just saw a couple of movies that involved scuba diving.

1) Get Smart (with Steve Carrel) had a bit part with scuba divers using lift bags to carry contraband down a river to a waiting ship.

2) The Water Horse (doesn’t actually show scuba divers in the movie, but the behind the scenes part on the dvd shows how much they depended on scuba divers for the underwater shots and keeping the star of the movie safe - the young actor is a future scuba diver that’s certain).

Just saw one on TV today "Kraken: Tentacles of the Deep" 2006. Basically about people fighting a giant underwater creature protecting some artifact. Definitely a B movie.

Do music videos count? Saw an old replay of the group Big Country’s only hit "Big Country" (that’s right they named the song after the group. Anyway they get into what appears to be very old scuba gear and tool around in a boat for awhile. The BC’s look like horse collar life jackets.
