I just spent a weekend diving in new england waters - but starting with the second dive, the seam of my hood started to chaffe my neck. Does anyone know how to prevent this in future? (and please don’t be a smart alec and say dive without the hood - not possible in 60 degree water). Thanks

Have you tried a differnt brand of hood? Does the brand you have taped seams to smooth them out? My pinnacle hood has a wool (not ichy) lining and taped seams makes it pretty smooth and not chaffe. You might be able to put a sports wrap or bandana on the spot as a stop gap solution, sort of like socks help your feet from chaffing? I’ve seen some sort of wetsuit lube to help you get in, that might work? You could probably put some KY jelly on there without hurting the wet suit as well.

... I want to say ’Henderson’s Gold Core’ suit is a smooth type material on the inside.

Is it possible to put a seperate piece of fabric in between skin and hood? -like silk, compression material, rash guard shirt...?

Good luck
