Hi there,
I came from Japan to Bethlehem Pensilvania last year.
I am interested in diving at Dutch spring, and looking for a buddy.
Since I am still inexperienced scuba diving in America, Could you please give me advice as described below.

Q1: Can I rent a diving gears in Dutch springs (Fin, mask, wetsuit, BCD and so on)?
Q2: How much is the rental fee for diving gears.
(I am PADI advanced open water with 77 dives. )

Thanks

I believe there is a scuba store right by dutch springs where you can rent gear. You can also go on line and see what scuba stores are in your area. I will be at dutch in Sat 27th, if you need a buddy u can email me at pmnc99@yahoo.com

Thanks
Paul

Go see Jim at Atlantis Aquatics for all the rental stuff. He is located on Rt.191 in Bethlehem which is just a couple miles from Dutch. He opens at 7 am on the weekends so you can get in and then get to Dutch.

Have fun and happy diving.

Hi, Paul

Thank you for your comments.

Honesty, I’m stuck on deciding whether to be diving on this Sat.
Because Sunday’s weather will be better than Saturday’s weather, May be.

Is it possible for you to be diving on Sunday instead of Saturday?

Let me sleep on it. I will get back to you tomorrow.

Regards,
Masaru

Hi Paul

I’m really sorry that I can’t be diving on Saturday with you.
I hope I can be diving with you when I get a chance.

Thanks a lot,

Dutch Springs rents only tanks, weights, and weight belts. And has air and Nitrox 32%.
The water is cold at best, you can check their website for average temps and a buddy finder.
You can adjust your exposure protection t your comfort range.

Later in the season I can dive a 1 mil wet suit above 30’.
If you are looking to invest in gear check Northeast Scuba Supply in Norristown for great deals on quality used gear. Rental adds up to buying used in a short time if you become an active diver. northeastscubasupply.com/

Hi John,

Thank you for your advice.
I will use your advice.
(I have my diving gears, but I did not bring the diving gears from my country.)

Thanks again

John

Last time I checked Dutch springs didn’t have a buddy finder anymore. The site went down 2 years ago and the never fixed it. To bad because it was a great site.

FYI, update: For the last 2 years DS has been renting wet and drysuits in addition to the tanks they had been renting for several years previous. I believe they also rent computers and regulators now as well.
There are also 2 dive shops within 2 miles of DS, so anything you can’t get onsite is not too far away to rent or even buy.
