I’m thinking about running down to South Padre Island for some diving. Does anybody have an inside on what’s diving is like in the area? Any suggestions and to dive ops? I’ve heard that the Texas Clipper is a good dive. What else is there?

I would love to! I’m going on June 19 through the 22nd with non diving friends. Check out American Diving. I like their dive package - $200 for 2 dives on Texas Clipper and 1 rig diving. How about it?

Are you planning to dive on the weekend of the 19th - 22nd or are you just going to check out the dive op? I would like to plan on going a weekend in July, maybe in 4th of July weekend. I think there are a few other people interested in going too.

Since I’m leaving on Sunday, the 22nd I can only dive on Friday the 20th. I’ve got my reservations done.


I’m going to dive the Florida keyes the week prior to 4th of July (June 28th through July 7th). Got a group going then, about 9 ppl. Everyone is invited too.
