Want to dive Florida this summer. Where is a good place to dive reefs?

Pompano is good, and you can dive reefs right from the beach! (Look for mooring balls that should be in 15-30ft of water.) There’s another reef ledge past them if you’re willing to make the swim. :)

I second Pompano, great diving. You can also hit the Blue Heron bridge in, Riviera Beach. Chech out Scuba Earth for sites and people.

Also check out South Florida Diving Headquarters in Pompano if you want boat diving.

Pompano? Hands down the best reefs in Florida are in Key Largo/Islamorada/Tavernier.

uwlover4u may be correct in that the Keys reefs often have more vertical relief than Pompano’s, but you can’t dive them from shore like you can in Pompano, so you’ll have to pay for boats and spend $60-$100 per boat ride in the Keys. Either place ought to make you happy!
