Mark you calendars for June 23. The NC/SC group will be at the Lake Norman Quarry for our get together. For those of you who are not in the Charlotte area, the quarry is a scuba only area open to members and guests, so you don’t have to worry about fishing boats and wave runners. We’ll get wet about 10am, serve lunch on site, dive the afternoon away and head up the street for dutch treat before people head out. Set your GPS for 347 Greenbay Road, Mooresville, NC 28117 and the Quarry entrance(gated) will be on the right just before you reach 347or on the left just after depending on the direction from which you are coming. $10 covers you for diving and lunch. If you need tanks and/or weights, let me know and I’ll see what I can work out with the local shops, should keep your total to $25 or less for two tanks, weights, & food. Let me know if you can come as we have a guest/member ratio we have to keep and I wouldn’t want you waiting on the other side of a locked gate while the key and I are chasing paddle fish. |
