Ok so starting to look at my next possible trip for some diving and have been thinking about the Graveyard of the Atlantic NC area for mid May.

Just starting to look into the area, operators, diving, hotels and so forth, and am looking for advice. Anyone that may have advice on operators and hotels, information would be greatly appreciated.

My favorite is Olympus and they can fix you up with anything from a motel to their bunk house.

Olympus is also my choice.. They are awesome!! To save some money, but still have decent accomodations, we have always stayed at the Bucanneer Inn..

The Olympus website also has info on hotels/motels and places to eat..
Floyd’s is a great place for dinner.. And one of our new favorite places to eat after this last trip is McCurdy’s.
Enjoy your trip, we always do!!!

I have dove with Discovery Diving numerous times and have always had a safe and fun time. http://discoverydiving.com/
I have stayed at Discovery’s "Dive Lodge" before. No fluff but fully functional and for $25 a night I found it saved me some $.

Olympus and Discovery are really the two well known and respected operators in the area. You can’t go wrong with either of them.

Have fun, I highly recommend the U-352 sub and the Spar where you usually see some great Sand Tiger sharks.

I’ve dove with Olympus once and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Boats and crew are all top notch with what I felt was a perfect balance of laid back but professional and safe.

I personally didn’t care for the lodge and felt squeamish about sleeping in the the beds.
I would spend a little extra money for a nicer accommodation or even consider camping if there is a site close by.

Olympus Diving hands down is great for the Moore Head area and Aquatic Safaries is a great one for the Wilmington area. We dive with both groups.
