Molesting the wildlife

With all the great programs teaching conservation, all the dive instruction showing proper streamlining for both reducing drag and not harming the coral, and the information about our dying oceans...I am curious about the opinion of other divers. I’ve seen divers from novice through course director playing with every type of creature they can find from Octopus and turtles to sharks and seals. I will plead the 5th on my encounters. Should dive guides/shops give more classes/briefings about not kicking, standing on, or touching coral? Not touching the wildlife/fish/anything? Or Should everyone experience the feel of turtle shells, octopus, and fire coral? Please feel free to comment and stimulate conversation.

[Choose #1] I don’t believe in disturbing the wildlife in their natural habitat. So I don’t touch or play with anything.

[Choose #1] I tend not to touch for safety but for breathing swimming animals touching isn’t necessarily molesting. Seals, Sealions, dolphin and porpoise love to play

[Choose #1] #1 is a good concept, but I am diving to explore and learn so 100% hands off is a little hard to put into practice.

[Choose #1] I try not to touch coral or life as a rule, but have swam with a turtle or ray a time or two.
