I was watching Shark Week on Discovery. And the divers mentioned that they were 25 miles away from the North Carolina shore and in the North Carolina area there R over 2000 wrecks! I’m moving 2 North Carolina. Awesome

Claimed to be the wreck capital of the east coast. Great diving, I just wish I lived less than 5 hours from the ocean.

Great diving, warm clear water, historic wrecks, sand tigers and sometimes so many fish you can’t see the wrecks. Long 10 hour drive for me but have done it 5 times :)

We dove out of Morehead City and enjoyed some great wrecks. The quality of the wreck depends on the weather but there is always something great to see. If you head down that way I recommend Olympus Dive Center, they were excellent hosts and as professional as they come!
