That’s a pretty broad question. Do you know which Island you will be staying on? What’s your budget for the hotel? Do you have a dive buddy going with you? And do you know when you plan to travel? Then we can give you more specific suggestions.

What Island are you going to?
I spent 3-weeks on the Big Island, and know some about it.

If you are going to Maui, then I would recommend Maui Dive Shop. Great people to work with and they have their own boats, many of the dive shops only contract out with other boat owners. They also have several locations on the Island.

A friend of mine recently moved to Maui and is now employed by Maui Dive Shop. I can’eak for the other shops but I can speak about my friend, if he is there I would feel confident diving with them. As asked before, what island?
