I’m taking a trip to the Mexican Baja / Cabo San Lucas in September with room for a travel buddy: Up to three depending how comfortable you are to the economics of sharing space - I’m a military man so I’m used to it. Of course, you’re always welcome to book your own stay - but I’m telling you I got an outstanding rate on the room which has a max occupancy of four adults (2 queen beds). I’m looking to stay at the Solmar Hotel and diving with Amigos Del Mar. (I’m planning to dive most days, making at least one Gordo Banks run with hopes to catch the seasonal schooling hammerheads or some other big pelagics) For me, this is primarily a dive trip but I wouldn’t mind exploring some land excursions too. This trip invitation is open to anyone with an Open Water or higher certification and a sense of adventure!
The cost will essentially be $180 pp + airfare + charter fees & personal spending. I estimate spending $350-$500 on diving while living reasonably on the local economy for food/drink at around $30/day. Upgrading the accomodations to all-inclusive doesn’t appeal to me but could be an option.
Right now airfare out of Des Moines, IA for the specified dates is running around $525 RT. It could be more; could be less depending on where you’re flying from and market fluctuation. Let me know if you’re interested!
