July NYUPS meeting
Event Date Tue, July 16, 2013 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Event Location 384 3rd Ave, New York, NY

Hawaii is known as the big island - and with good reason. There are truck-sized lava tubes, enormous pods of spinner dolphins, and manta rays with a twenty-foot wingspan.

At the July NYUPS meeting, DivePhotoGuide’s Joe Tepper shows why Hawaii’s Kona coast is a must destination for underwater shooters. He’ll share images of all the underwater subjects to be had as well as his tips for nailing the shot.

Wide-angle lovers will delight in the manta dive, snorkeling with dolphins and close encounters with rare cetaceans. Macro fanatics will fill up their memory cards with images of hawkfish, frogfish, and infinitesimal invertebrates on the famous "pelagic magic" dive. By the end of the meeting you’ll be tempted to book a one-way ticket to Hawaii.

We look forward to seeing your images and sharing food and drink with you at Artctica Bar & Grill On Tuesday, July 16th!
