Matt Weiss and Kerri Wilks from Dive Photo Guide recently took the Nikon D800, Nauticam housing, and Sea & Sea YS-D1 strobes to Mexico. They gave all this new gear a complete workout in the Cenotes of the Yucatan Peninsula. Besides all the new toys, the team brought down 17 strobes! Their plan was to photograph these beautiful decorated cave systems the way architectural photographers would light a room interior. At our June meeting Matt will talk about all the new equiment and what it was like to use multi-lighting techniques in an underwater cave. After Matt’s talk , we invite you to share your images where you used multi-lighting techniques or off-camera lighting. We ask that you bring no more than 10 images that we will go over in detail. We want to spend time not only hearing how you took the photo, but discussing how they could have been improved.
